Business English for Agribusiness - IDEAL COURSES

Business English for Agribusiness

Over the past ten years, IDEAL has been delivering a specific Business English course for Agribusiness firms from mainland Europe.

The Agribusiness English course has helped hundreds of executives from Europe’s most prestigious agricultural companies perfect their English speaking, listening, reading and writing.

It mixes general Business English with specialist vocabulary and cultural visits to world famous sites like Kew Gardens in London and the world’s largest Seed Bank at Wakehurst Place, which is only 45 minutes from Brighton.

The Agribusiness English course has helped hundreds of executives from Europe’s most prestigious agricultural companies improve their speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Course highlights

  • General Business English
  • Specialist Agribusiness vocabulary
  • Visit Kew Gardens in London
  • Practise with local wine producers

The more we have worked with agricultural companies, including Agrolis Consulting and an ongoing multi-year contract with Syngenta France, the more we have learned about the research and practices of crop protection, production and processing. Crop producing is a vast and fast business, with little for no room for mistakes. Practices are circumscribed by strict laws which change frequently. So it is imperative that companies working internationally understand exactly what they are dealing with.

From describing qualities of products to the all-important weights and measures, the language used requires precision. The styles are often nuanced, specially when it comes to marketing. Through our close one-to-one contact, we can determine language learning priorities and ensure the learner gets the right course for them.

Jean Louis Andrieu, a senior manager from Syngenta France, completed the IDEAL Agribusiness English Course in October 2014 and said: “The Agribusiness English Course had an excellent balance between formal lessons in the mornings and practical application in the afternoons. I thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour of Kew Gardens in London which has the largest plant collection in the world.”
